It was an amazing day on the 28th of May for The Environment Trust when they presented a new event: Huraarhh for Dinosaurs
Hosted by Wildlife Presenter Anneka Svenska and featuring dinosaur expert, TV presenter and producer Nigel Marven, Best-selling author and Emmy award winning TV producer Deborah Cadbury and Palaeontologist and writer of Queen Mary University of London Dr David Hone, the hall packed out with over 300 eager young dinosaur fans.
Dr David Hone enticed the budding palaeontologists with wonderful facts about adult and juvenile dinosaurs and showed them some fascinating fossils including a raptor skull. Deborah enthralled people with her stories of the very first dinosaur hunters and how it changed history and religion as we know it. Nigel Marven delighted kids with his exciting films, as he showed extracts from Prehistoric Park and allowed young fans to get hands on with a wonderful ball python.Photos by Siva Sivanesan
Anneka then finished up with a question and answer time where young fans asked the speakers a multitude of questions on dinosaurs and prehistory. A great deal was raised from ticket sales and merchandise which will go towards The Environment Trust and the incredible work it does.
